The handling of the work-pieces can be done by couple of hoists, overhead conveyor or driven trolleys at ground level.
The blast operation is done in one pass on the whole component surface throughout the crossing of the tunnel.
The blasting process takes places as the work to be treated passes through the chamber with blast wheels located on both sides of the cabinet, inclined to give full coverage of the work.
Downstream the blasting tunnel, it is possible to install manual blasting machine for re-touching or blowing /suction cabinet to remove possible residue shot on the work-pieces.
Our hanger pass through type shot blasting machines may be fitted into automatic lines with painting rooms, using a power and free overhead conveyor system.
Typical work pieces treated with shot blasting machine TUNNELBLAST are:
Profile steel, such as, H beam steel, I beam steel, Channel steel, angle steel etc.

Structural steel work for:
Civil and industrial buildings (sheds, bridges, viaducts, stadiums, warehouses, walkways, platforms, stairs, etc.)
·Agricultural equipments
·Earth moving equipments
·Buildings and road equipments
·Lifting machines
·Bridge crane
·Industrial vehicles

Large castings
Heat-treated parts
Mechanic parts to be moved in line with painting plant systems.
Surface preparation is the essential first stage treatment of a steel substrate before the application of any coating, and is
generally accepted as being the most important factor affecting the total success of a corrosion protection system.

The performance of a coating is significantly influenced by its ability to adhere properly to the substrate material. Residual
millscale on steel surfaces is an unsatisfactory base to apply modern, high performance protective coatings and is thereforeremoved by abrasive blast cleaning. Other surface contaminants on the rolled steel surface, such as oil and grease are also undesirable and must be removed before the blast cleaning process.

The surface preparation process not only cleans the steel, but also introduces a suitable profile to receive the protective
coating.

Surface condition immediately before coating After the preparation of the surface to an acceptable standard of cleanliness and profile, it is important that the steelwork is not allowed to deteriorate. Re-rusting can occur very quickly in a damp environment and unless the steel is maintained in a dry condition coating of the surface should proceed as soon as possible. Any re-rusting of the surface should be considered as a contaminant and be removed by re-blasting.
